My heart in ministry is for God’s Word to be known in practical ways. It’s always exciting to see the Word jump off the page and become very real in my own life. It’s even more exciting to be in a community of women who are experiencing this same thing.

My husband and I reside in Carlsbad, Ca. Our favorite place is anywhere by the beach … with one another. We believe laughter is medicine and we ingest it regularly.

I feel like that is what we do in "The Word Circle." We take hold of each other's hand and lift each other up. These women have become like sisters and have become such a blessing.

I am from Kentucky. My husband David and I enjoy camping, kayaking and hiking. Our favorite place is the Daniel Boone Nat'l Forest. We attend a small country Church.

Gods word is the thread that connects us.

I am grateful to be in a community of women that pray, share, and encourage each other to see God daily in his word. 

I am blessed to be a mom of two and a grandma of seven incredible humans! I am a North San Diego County native and currently live in Oceanside, California.

I spend my time with my family and friends, and volunteer at the Bread of Life Rescue Mission.

Nancy is a recently retired school teacher. She feels very blessed to have time to reflect and do the things she loves: walking at the beach, drawing, painting, and spending time with her grandson. She lives in Southern California with her husband of 40 years. Nancy also plays multiple instruments and loves great times of worship. 

From simple beginnings in Minnesota to schooling in the U.P. of Michigan, down to Tampa, out to Idaho, back to Minnesota and out to California, Marissa has seen God’s hand of direction and provision each step of the way.

Winnie has the heart of a mother and she is a spiritual mom to many. Winnie is multi-talented and shares the gifts God has given her by way of writing, crafting, sewing and knitting. Barbara’s love for the arts is inspired by God’s beauty. That same inspiration comes through in her passion for not just words, but also photography and painting. Her heart is truly for igniting women into their God-given gifts and talents.

Jenny is nearing retirement after decades of public service. She enjoys living & working near the Ocean where dolphin sitings never get old and migrating birds are a justifiable distraction during long Zoom meetings. Jenny’s three kids have raised her well; taking turns to keep an eye on her. She has a two-year old grandson that she can’t get enough of and a Canadian husband who has introduced her to a life of travel.
